Peter Kesby grew up diving on the East Coast of Australia in the late 70’s. One thing Pete did enjoy was being able to dive spots that were untouched without anyone around. Spearfishing wasn’t to popular back then so he found it hard to find some reliable gear. Peter finished his trade as a ‘French Polisher’ in the furniture building business and as a keen spearo wanted to build something that every spearfisherman needs ‘a Speargun’. Pete decided he was going to start catering for spear fisherman and in 1978 Kes Spearguns was then in production.
“One thing i find with all spear fisherman is they have individual preferences to speargun design, and that is what i have been catering for since i started manufacturing spearguns”, says Peter Kesby.
